Current Limiting Reactors
Current limiting reactors are used to limit the magnitude of fault current within the capacity of the installed equipment. They are connected with the line or feeder to reduce the short circuit level.
Application
They can be used to limit the inrush currents during Capacitor switching, Motor starting, Transformer inrush currents to limit fault currents in a network.
Harmonic Filters
Wide range of applications including Drives, Arc furnaces, Induction furnaces, UPS/ Computer loads etc. These may be single and double tuned, fixed or switched filter banks. The performance of all Harmonic Filters is in compliance with standards and regulations (e.g. IEEE 519)
Features
Low power / energy consumption Compensated and uncompensated filters
Special custom built designs Switched and fixed filter banks
Single and double tuned sections Wide voltage range from 230V to 33 kV
Single and multi stage configurations
Benefits
Reduced voltage & current distortion levels Nuisance tripping of drives, relays
Improved voltage profile Reduced loading on transformer, lower heating and extended life
Reduced losses in equipment & feeders / cables
Our harmonic filers have an ability to maintain an annual average power factor of better than 0.99 and reduce THD to less than 5% and come with excellent payback periods
Power Quality Monitors
Power Quality monitoring has become an integral part of overall system performance assessment procedures. The "PQ Monitor" completes with a data logging facility measures, stores and displays all variations in power parameters. This makes it an indispensable tool in the assessment and improvement of system performance.
Features
Measures, stores and displays voltage and current on all three phases, frequency, power factor, real and reactive power import and export and apparent power.
Data logging facility with 32 kB non-volatile memory and date and time stamp. Typical data logging period for 36 days.
Provides alerts for UV, OV, OC, low pf, high pf.
Benefits and applications
Energy and demand profiling that helps in characterizing disturbances, Monitoring of transformers and motors in distribution and industrial networks to study the loading and loss patterns. Monitoring of industrial networks (main incomer as well as individual feeders) for power parameters monitoring Trend analysis of PQ parameters in order to identify opportunities for energy savings and demand reduction. For energy audits to increase energy efficiency.
Reactive Power Compensation Systems
We offer a wide range of Industrial Reactive Power Compensation equipment. Our systems have a record of excellent performance with an ability to maintain an annual average power factor of better than 0.99. These systems come with a specially designed controller VARTROL TM for reactive power compensation applications.
The range includes
Thyristor switched capacitors Breaker switched capacitors
Contactor switched capacitors Static VAR compensators
Salient Features
Widest range - 10 kVAR to 2500 kVAR Special RPC systems for widely & dynamically varying loads and harmonic polluted networks
Widest voltage range - 230V to 33 kV Special control & protection features. E.g. protection against over compensation and self-excitation

Benefits
Reduced voltage & current distortion levels. Reduced losses in equipment & feeders / cables
Avoidance of power factor penalties & kVA demand charges Indoor & Outdoor installations
Improved voltage profile Reduced loading on transformers, lower heating and extended life
Transient Suppressors
Utility distribution Networks, sensitive Industrial loads, and critical commercial operations all suffer from various types of outages and service interruptions which can cost significant financial loss per incident based on process down-time, lost production, idle work forces, and other factors. We offer a range of Transients Suppressors to reduce the impact of transient disturbances on sensitive loads.
